Hearing text read aloud catches things reading it silently does not. A clumsy sentence, a missing word, a paragraph that runs out of breath halfway through. Writers use it to proofread, students use it to revise while doing something else, and people with dyslexia or low vision use it because it is simply the better way to take in a page.

This tool uses the speech voices already built into your browser and operating system, which is why it has no character cap and costs nothing. Paste any amount of text, choose a voice, adjust the speed and pitch until it sounds natural rather than robotic, and press play. The available voices come from your device, so a modern Windows, macOS, Android or iOS system will typically offer a range of languages and accents.

One limitation is worth being upfront about. Playback happens live through your browser's speech engine, and browsers do not expose a way to capture that audio as a file, so there is no download button. If you need a saved recording, use your operating system's own audio recorder while the text plays. Nothing you paste is transmitted to us.
