About the JPG to PDF
A JPG is a picture and a PDF is a document, and the difference matters the moment someone official asks for one. Application portals, HR systems, banks and universities almost always want PDFs, partly because a PDF has fixed pages that print predictably and partly because it can hold several images in one file instead of a folder of loose attachments.
That is the usual reason people end up here: a phone full of photographed receipts, a scanned form captured page by page, a set of certificates that has to arrive as one document. Dropping them all in at once and using the thumbnail arrow buttons to set their order takes a few seconds, and each image becomes one page in the order you set.
The page size and margin controls exist because the default of stretching an image to fill an A4 sheet is rarely what you want. A phone photo has a different aspect ratio to a printed page, so a margin keeps the whole image visible instead of cropping it at the edges, and picking the right sheet size means the result prints correctly rather than being scaled by the printer. Everything runs in your browser, so a photographed passport or bank statement never leaves your device, and there is no page limit or watermark.
For example, add three receipt photos, put them in date order with the arrow buttons, and choose A4 portrait with small margins. The result has three pages. Fit to image uses image pixel dimensions as PDF points, so choose A4 or Letter when the printed paper size matters.
Images are re-encoded as JPEG at quality 0.92 over a white background. Transparency is removed and the result is not lossless. This tool does not perform OCR: text in a photo remains an image rather than searchable text. Review every page before sharing and keep your source images.
